Lord of the Vampires
In the kingdom of Elden, a king and queen sat on the throne with their four children. One day an eveil Blood Sorcerer attacked the castle and killed the king and queen. Before he could succeed, the queen (a witch) used her power to send her children far away, while the king infused them with the need for revenge, the desire to kill the evil sorcerer. This story is about the oldest child, Nicolai, a vampire with great power. He is sent away to a slave market where he catches the eyes of the princesses of Delfina. They knew who he was so upon buying him they wiped his memory clean. He knew his name and had an urge to kill the sorcerer, but nothing else. In the human realm we meet Jane Parker, a scientist who one day finds a book on her doorstep, a book written by Nicolai. Upon reading the book, she is transported to Delfina. It is then up to her to help Nicolai escape and regain his memory. Will she be able to survive the dangers this realm hold for her, or the dangers of her own heart? (okay how super cheasy does that sound? Belongs on the back of this book! Haha!)
I really liked this book, but mainly because I like Gena Showalter's writing style. The next book in the series comes out in October and is written by Jill Monroe. I have never read her books so I am a little leery to read it and the other books, but I probably will.
