Last Kiss Goodnight

OMG I am so far behind on everything at the moment!  I finished this book over a week ago but then left for a conference and now getting ready for Thanksgiving...there is not enough hours in the day sometimes.  A conference you say, bet you got a lot of reading done you say?  NOPE!  By the end of each day I was so mentally exhausted all I could do was sit in front of my iPad with Netflix.  What did I start watching? think this sums it up nicely:

Okay, enough ranting and raving about shows.  Now on to books!

As I have said before, I LOVE GENA SHOWALTER!  I have a lot of favorite authors but she definitely takes the number 1 position.  I have loved everything I read by her.  Last Kiss Goodnight was a great story.  She has a whole series on aliens living amongst us and there being alien hunters and huntresses.  This series focuses on the other angle, they are alien assassins.  Don't worry, they work on the side of good ;)  Showalter finds the most unique story lines and runs with it.  Like in this one, a circus owner is not making money with the typical circus animals so he decides to instead kidnap aliens and make them the main attraction.  Of course one of them ends up being our alien assassin hero ;)  And then she throws in the little twist of having the main female character be...oh no, SPOILERS!
Hehe, having just watched the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, I just could not resist!

All I have left to say is if you have not ready anything by Gena Showalter then you are totally missing out!

Books and a super awesome friend

So...I have a problem.  Whenever I go to my friend's house I just stand there and stare in awe at her library, like a kid in a candy store.  I have not been able to see this friend lately because she just had a super cute baby ;)  This weekend she was hosting a baby shower at her house.  Needless to say when I left, it was with an armful of books!  It's Trader Joe's bag all over again!  If my arms had not been full, I would have walked out of her hose rubbing my hands together and cackling like a Disney villain.  Now that means I need to step up my reading!

I told myself I would not start another book on my nook because I was reading two books already.  Um...yeah...that did not last.  The other day I rushed off to a hair appointment.  My stylist was running late and of course I had forgotten my book at home.  Never fear!  I had a phone and a nook app!  I downloaded the first book that showed up in my library and started reading.  Got all the way to chapter 3 before it was time to tackle my hair.  What book you ask?  ALLEGIANT!!!!  Book three in the Divergent series.  It's been so long since I read the first two books that I am having a hard time remembering what happened!

Anyways, I'm back to reading three books at once, I have a whole container of new books I'm borrowing, and I love my hair.  Here's the end result:

Me in middle school (I think, or freshmen year of high school).  This is the picture I showed my stylist for color matching.  Awe doesn't my baby brother look so young?!
Me before getting my hair done.  In person it has gotten pretty mousy and too many gray/white hairs!
Me after!
I'm loving it!  Perfect change for me!
